Introduction
The ATMA is very proud of all of it's instructors and we take every reasonable effort to ensure that they are trained to provide you and your children with the best possible training environment. To support this, each and every one of our instructors is CRB checked, fully qualified and insured. They are trained in child protection, first aid, health and safety and equal opportunities. In addition, each of them has come through our own ranks and has been known to the Chief Instructor for a minimum of 3 years, the minimum time required to reach Black Belt standard. Often, our students take more than 3 years to reach this standard – there is no shortcut to Black Belt! Even after they qualify, our students have to undertake a period of training as instructors before they are allowed to open classes of their own.The Chief Instructor is Master Jacqui Fisher, a 4th Dan and she has been practicing martial arts locally for over 23 years.
Clearly all of our instructors are fully trained and qualified but there is more to them than that! Each of them has a warm and friendly character and you will soon learn that they are dedicated to providing their students with the knowledge and skill needed to grasp the art of Tang Soo Do.
Finally, learning Tang Soo Do brings with it many good and solid teachings. It instills respect for your instructors, your fellow students and others around you. It teaches you that hard work and dedication can repay you with progress and a sense of great satisfaction in your achievements. It also teaches you to strive to better yourself by setting realistic goals and objectives. These are just some of the additional benefits of learning Tang Soo Do, not to mention you are likely to make some good friends too! ;)
