in sparring i used to use a outside to inside kick when my opponent was very close.the kick was aimed at striking the side of the head,but if it was blocked,then i dropped it into a axe kick.

3 points for a head kick,and because of the closeness to the opponent,it was very hard to spot the initial movement.

i enjoy the sparring ,as it allows a certain ammount creativity,and is quite hard work.

forms are great when you manage to do one without any errors,satisfaction of knowing you got it just right.

i often hear in class of events that are happening,but they dont seem to be on this site. it may get more people posting if the site is more up to-date.

i guess its similar to getting a promotion at work.the new level of competence brings with it a level of responsibility.

I came to my first lesson on Saturday at the Cov Uni class - absolutely loved it and I thought everyone was a smashing bunch. I will definitely be coming again! :-)

due to cannon maggs school having a event planned for tonight, the class took place in the local MINERS WELFARE PARK.

what a refreshing change,far better than being stuck inside some hot airless sports hall.all who attended seemed to enjoy the session.

maybe more of this type of training could be organised for our summer months,?

hello to all, me and my son have recently started training in nuneaton and bedworth.iam sure anybody who has met my son alan ,will not forget him in a hurry lol.

little alan,as hes called.has a.d.h.d. and attending any social event is very challenging for him,and his behaviour.hopefully he will soon start to learn,and enjoy his time in class.

thanks to all those who have endured alan,he does seem to show some improvement,and hopefully this will continue.

Hiya Mark,

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the PDF files. I've just tried the links again on 2 different machines and the links seem to work just fine :(  ...so not quite sure what's causing your issue. Might be worth checking out your version of Internet Explorer (we are using version 8 here) ...can you download / open other pdf files on other sites?

In the meantime I'll email you the User Manual so that you can print a copy off for yourself :)

Hi

Have recently joined Master Fisher's class in Redditch and have just passed my yellow belt.

I would like to download the grading material for the other belts from the site however i am getting error messages saying the files do not exsit. Can someone review the links on the site to see what the issue is. I have tried to download this material from 3 separate desktops and have installed Adobe on each so i am pretty sure there is a error in the links themselves.

If this can't be done - how could i get paper copies?

Hi Al - Not sure what your looking for but here goes...

For me, the Black Belt symbolises a massive personal achievement. I know that anyone with their 1^st Dan in our art has had to work very hard for many years which demonstrates their skill, dedication, determination and commitment. As a green belt I look up to the Dan grades and respect what they are teaching me, I know they are more experienced, I know that they have a knowledge that is more superior to my own and I know that I can learn much from them.

The Dan grade is something that I personally aspire to. It’s the first major milestone on a long journey in the art of Tang Soo Do. A journey of skill, control, self respect, power, wisdom, honour, dedication, commitment and friendship   ..I could go on, but I think that paints the picture. One day I will be a Dan Grade and one day I look forward to teaching others the skills that have been taught to me!

..looks like a very useful kick in sparring!  ..particularly like the demo, really useful
